Castle Rock

A few weeks ago, we went on our annual "Castle Rock" trip with my family. We rent a condo at the Northern Bay Resort on Castle Rock lake for my parents, Liz/Jesse and the girls and Andy/Kristen. This year was a little different, because Andy and Kristen weren't able to make it, since Kristen was sick in the hospital with Pancreatitis. We all really missed them!! :( Andy was able to make it down to golf with the boys one day (Andy & Jesse play against Tom & Corey). This year, Tom & Corey won!! We spent a lot of time at the pool, or relaxing on the deck watching golfers tee off. It was a lot of fun for everyone. Corey and Jesse went ball hunting (only 1 night this time) and Corey found over 170 golf balls!!! Meanwhile, running into a bee hive and getting about 7-8 bee stings and having his hand swell up like a balloon! :( What a guy will do for golf balls, huh?? Summerfest - Big Time Rush Concert

For Jayden's early birthday present this year, we went to see Big Time Rush in concert at Summerfest in Milwaukee on Friday. This time we went with our friends, Andrea and Ava Finn. The girls had a blast! They got to sleepover in a hotel, swim for hours in the pool, go to the BIG TIME RUSH concert and also ride the Skyline at Summerfest. Also, we stopped in WI Dells and went shopping at the Tanger Outlets, had lunch at Buffalo Phils - where a train brought our food/drinks to us, and went on rides at Knuckleheads too! The girls had so much fun - and the moms did too! :) Here are some pictures from our trip.

Fishing with the kids!

Last weekend we took out our fishing boat for the 1st time and brought the kids fishing! They had so much fun! Jayden loved digging out the worms and could probably fish for hours! The boys fished for a little bit, but then were more interested in eating snacks (constantly!) :) We caught probably a dozen fish (little ones), but that kept it fun for the kids. I think the best part for the boys was when we let them pee off the boat into the water - they thought that was SO COOL!!! Jayden was a little jealous...... Then we stopped at the beach and let the kids play in the water/sand, while mom/dad relaxed on the beach. :) The kids had so much fun and both boys fell asleep on the drive home. It was a great day!

Peyton & Landon's 4th Birthday Party

We celebrated Peyton & Landon's 4th birthday yesterday. The kids had a great time! We were lucky enough that the weather was nice for most of the party (it rained for about an hour, but then was sunny and nice again.) The boys' BIG birthday present was a TRAMPOLINE! It was from both sets of grandparents, mom/dad and aunt bear. We had it set up for the party, so all the kids could play on it. They LOVE it! We also set up our pool and had the John Deere and motorcycle out for the kids to ride on. The boys received lots of nice presents, including CARS bean bag chairs & blankets, water toys/guns, John Deere hats, stickers, CARS lunch baxes and more! Here are some pictures from the party.
The adults had fun dancing to "Just Dance" on the Nintendo Wii. Here are some funny pictures - who do you think won??? :)
