The boys and their John Deere Gator
We have a John Deere Gator that the kids can drive around and this spring is the first time the boys have really started driving it alone (without Jayden). Landon has taken the role as "driver" and Peyton just likes to ride. They could play on this all night, if the battery didn't need to be re-charged. :) Landon drives around things, puts it into reverse and backs up - he is a good little driver! I think he takes after his mommy.....haha! We also have a motorcycle that Jayden loves to drive too. Here are some pictures that I took last night of the boys, Jayden and our neighbor, Ian, driving the gator and motorcycle around our yard.
Jayden started t-ball
Jayden started playing t-ball again this spring and had her 1st game last week. This year, her cousin, Natalie, is also on her team. They had a great time and Jayden got on base everytime she hit the ball! And she even ran the ball to home plate to get a few people out! She loves playing and it's so much fun watching her play. One nice thing is there is a playground directly behind the field, so the boys can play during her game. It keeps everyone happy. :)

Happy Easter!
I know it's been 2 months since my last post, but March was a long, rough month for the Smith family. It all started on March 4th, when Peyton puked after church. We thought it was just the normal "24 hour stomach flu"......little did we know it would last for 9 days! :( He ended up being hospitalized after 7 days to be on IV fluid because he was so dehydrated. After the hospital visit, things finally turned around. During this time, I also had the stomach bug and didn't feel good for about 7 days as well. It was hard to take care of a sick child when you don't feel good too. And of course, Peyton wanted his mommy when he was sick - not daddy. Then about 5 days went by and we thought the rest of the family was in the clear. We were wrong. Jayden and Corey got sick with the flu...and Jayden had it for 12 days! She had to be hospitalized (just like Peyton) for de-hydration. Luckily, Corey was only sick for 2 days. At the end of Jayden's stomach bug, she contracted strep throat on top of it. So, it wasn't until April 2nd that the Smith family was completely healthy again. And lucky little Landon was the only one who didn't get this icky stomach bug (at least not yet). Let's just say we have had our share of doctors for the next year, or maybe even 5 years!
Here are some pictures of Jayden spending the night in the hospital - this was the next day when she was feeling much better (I didn't have my camera with when Peyton was in the hospital.)

Luckily, everyone was healthy for Easter and the kids had a great time finding easter eggs and their easter baskets. Here are some pictures of our "healthy" kids. :)
