"Big Boy" beds
Last week we moved the boys into big beds. The first night was a little rough - they screamed and cried and didn't want us to leave them. We stayed in there for a few minutes to try and calm them down, but anytime we tried to leave - they cried. So, we decided to just leave, shut their door and let them cry it out. They cried for about 15 minutes and then fell asleep. :) I went in their room to see if they were sleeping on the floor or on their beds and Landon was asleep in his bed and Peyton was sleeping at the bottom of Landon's bed! I took a picture, because it was so cute! I am also posting some pictures of their room. The 2nd night, they only cried for about 5-10 minutes, the 3rd night was only 1-2 minutes and by the 4th night - they didn't fuss at all! :)

Boys' 2nd Birthday!!
We celebrated the boys' 2nd birthday this past Sunday and had a party with family and friends. It ended up being the same weekend as the Eau Claire Air Show, which is only a few miles down the road from our house, so we got to see (and hear) many of the airplanes too! The boys didn't really like them much and were scared of how loud they were - but the adults sure liked it! The boys had tons of fun and got SO many great gifts - including a water table, roller coaster, sleeping bags, lawn mower, tricycle, and their own little lawn chairs! It ended up being a nice day out, so the kids played outside and Landon hasn't stopped pushing his new lawn mower since then! haha!
Here are some pictures from the party.

Landon wasn't too happy here - I think it was little too much for him!

Happy Easter!
We had a great Easter weekend with the kids! It started on Saturday morning, when we had "Breakfast with the Easter Bunny" at McDonell high school. Peyton went right up to the Easter Bunny and gave him a "High Five" and sat on his lap perfectly for a picture. Landon, on the other hand, screamed and cried when we tried putting him on the Easter Bunny's lap. And Jayden took a little while to warm up to him, but eventually stood next to the bunny for a picture. I will have to post these pictures later, because they are on my parent's camera. Then on Sunday morning, the kids found their Easter baskets and eggs that the Easter Bunny hid around our house. Jayden did a really good job at helping the boys find eggs and sharing the candy with them. She is such a good big sister! Then we went to church and then off to my parents house for Easter dinner and another egg hunt outside. We spent all afternoon outside - the weather was beautiful! Here are some pictures from our Easter celebration.

Here is the typical Smith Family picture (Peyton screaming, Jayden saying "cheese" and pushing her chin up in the air, Landon sitting perfectly, but not smiling and Dad looking at a different camera) ;)

Playdate with the Triplets
Today we had a playdate with the Hartman triplets! You might remember a previous post of our last playdate with the triplets, but that was over 7 months ago! The girls weren't walking yet at that time and now they are running all over the place! The girls (Aliya, Briella, Ciara) are 3 months younger than Peyton and Landon and they had a great time playing together. Everyone played well together and there was no fighting or biting (which both boys and girls have a bad habit of doing). We even got Peyton to give Aliya a hug! It was SO cute! I keep saying that these girls are their future girlfriends, but the boys are outnumbered! Oh well - I guess that means either Peyton or Landon will get 2 girls! ;)
