Playdate with the Triplets
Today we had a playdate with the Hartman triplets! You might remember a previous post of our last playdate with the triplets, but that was over 7 months ago! The girls weren't walking yet at that time and now they are running all over the place! The girls (Aliya, Briella, Ciara) are 3 months younger than Peyton and Landon and they had a great time playing together. Everyone played well together and there was no fighting or biting (which both boys and girls have a bad habit of doing). We even got Peyton to give Aliya a hug! It was SO cute! I keep saying that these girls are their future girlfriends, but the boys are outnumbered! Oh well - I guess that means either Peyton or Landon will get 2 girls! ;)

Frosty
Jayden has been telling us she wants to build a "frosty" in the snow with Daddy for a few weeks now. But it seems like every time we try - the snow isn't packy enough. Finally, this afternoon, Corey and Jayden went outside and made "frosty"! She loved it! And Grandma LoLo bought Jayden a snowman kit - complete with buttons, eyes, mouth and carrot for the nose! Daddy even made a TV out of snow and drew Spongebob in the TV and put a remote in the snowman's hand! haha! I bet you can't guess what Jayden's favorite TV show is!! Here are some pictures of frosty and Jayden.

Corey's SURPRISE Birthday Party
Last Friday, I had a surprise 30th birthday party for Corey - and it was a blast! He was SO surprised!! I can't believe he never found out, since I was planning it since Christmas! He thought we were meeting his parents out to dinner at the Fill-Inn for his birthday, but instead there were over 65 of his friends and family members there waiting for him! :) I can't believe almost everyone could make it - he was so happy to see everyone! He also got another big surprise - his family pooled together and bought him an ice auger! He's been complaining about not having one for years - so his uncles thought it would be the perfect gift. Here are some pictures from the party. Enjoy!

Playing in the snow
Last weekend, the weather was finally warmer and the kids weren't sick, so we decided to go up to our cabin with my family and take the kids outside to play. We took the kids sledding and for rides on Papa's 4-wheeler - which Peyton absolutely loved! He cried when we took him off and would run after Papa trying to catch him as he drove off with Jayden. :) Landon was a little more timid and wasn't a big fan. Jayden even got pulled on a sled behind the 4-wheeler with Uncle Andy, while Papa drove. The kids had a great time and it was a beautiful day to be outside. After having dinner at the cabin, we drove back home and all 3 kids were asleep within the first 10 minutes! They were exhausted!

Christmas 2009
We had a wonderful Christmas this year, spending time with both of our families and being blessed with three beautiful, healthy children. On Christmas Eve, we went to my parents house and Santa even came to visit! Jayden and Peyton just loved him - they both sat on his lap and Peyton even gave him a high five. Jayden gave him a couple hugs and also had to to keep the tradition alive and do "ring-around-the-rosie" with Santa and Grandpa, and this year Natalie even joined in! Landon was a little scared of Santa and wouldn't sit on his lap or even go near him (he clung on to Grandma's shirt very tight! Then on Christmas Day we went over to Corey's parents house and enjoyed a day with all the Smith boys home (Luke lives in Virginia) and all the grandchildren together. Jayden got a lot of new games for Christmas (Candyland, Bingo, Connect Four, and even a Leapster!) and the boys got some new cars/trucks, clothes and a big bounce bit from Santa! All three kids love it! It takes up half of our living room - but it's well worth it! Here are some pictures that were taken over Christmas.

The boys got shovels for Christmas and wouldn't let them leave their sight the rest of the night!
